Look At The First 3 Feet And The Last 3 Feet

In a previous putting tip I stated that you can only control the first 3 feet of any putt. However, when reading a putt focus on the first 3 feet and the last 3 feet. First, find two spots which form a field goal along the target line approximately 3 feet in front of the ball. Visualize the ball rolling between the field goal. Then go the hole and look at the last 3 feet of the target line. Visualize a clock laying over the hole and determine where on the clock the ball will roll in to the hole.

The last thing you see is the first thing you hit so take one last look at the field goal then look at the place on the clock where the ball will enter the hole and putt. Remember, aim small miss small.
