Look at Your Target

After watching the Masters this year, I was reminded of a lost art by Jordan Spieth. Golf is the only sport that a player doesn't look at their target. We look at the ball instead.

Next time you go to the practice green place a ball 3, 6 & 9 feet from the hole then look at the hole while you putt the ball. The results will amaze you.

Once you get comfortable and are consistently holing out your short putts while looking at the hole move back to 12, 15, 18, 21 & 24 feet. Success breeds confidence so as your practice yields unbelievable success continue to move back until you are able to hole out putts from anywhere while looking at the hole.

Of the putts you do not hole out, those putts will stop within 3 feet of the cup for an easy tap in. 3 putts will be a thing of the past.
