Putting Tip #9 Left Brain Right Brain

Sam Snead didn’t have all the training aids available today yet he was the best putter of his day. Why? Because he utilized both sides of his brain.

One side of our brain helps us balance our checkbook or solve complex math problems. The other side of our brain is why we play golf in the first place. One of the secrets to putting well is having a balanced brain.

Try standing behind your ball on a practice green and rolling another ball to your intended target. Then step up and putt your ball. Think long, think wrong. Do this drill until you can roll and putt to the same spot.

Without realizing it, both sides of your brain are communicating with one another so that you are able to produce the putt you visualize.
