Aiming is only productive when it is at the target. Quite often I hear a golfer mumble "don't putt the ball left" or "don't putt the ball right". What every golfer should be saying is putt to the target?
Some golfers would say the target is the cup while others would say its the apex of the break. I say that's too vague. Instead, pick a spot on the cup or a blade of discoloured grass at the apex. Aim small, miss small.
