Putting Tip#4 Distance Control

Regardless of a players handicap, 70% of all putts come from inside 10 feet so we should spend 70% of our putting lessons practicing on putts inside 10 feet. We do this by setting a ball at 3, 6, 9 & 12 feet from the fringe. Using our rear arm only, putt to the fringe. Once perfected, repeat using normal stroke with both hands. Next, place a golf tee on the center of the practice green. Using 12 golf balls, putt to the fringe clockwise starting at the 1 o'clock position finishing at the 12 o'clock position. Then putt back to the golf tee in the center of the practice green. We do this using our rear arm only then switch to using a normal stroke with both hands. Complete one set of each at least once a week and watch your distance control get scary good.
