Putting Tip #18 Proper Balance

Weight should be equally distributed. If your weight is too forward in your stance or you are leaning too far over on your toes your path will be inside out or right of the intended target. If your weight is too far back in your stance or on your heels your path will be outside in or left of the target. A good way to check your weight distribution is to curl your toes up. This will expose the bottom of your feet and you will instantly feel where the majority of your pressure is coming from. Readjust your weight distribution until you feel equal amounts of pressure on the bottom of both feet and heel to toe. Then relax and make a smooth putt stroke.
